Mission and Objectives

 The Mission of the Center of Food Biotechnology and Bioseparation Technologies (CFB & BT) is to contribute to knowledge and development of technologies with a physical and biological basis related to food and feed production and their transfer to the industry.

 

Main Goal

To develop theoretical and applied research on the separation of active compounds (antioxidants, antimicrobials and pigments) in plant materials, production of metabolites and enzymes through fermentation, and improvement of the nutritional quality of plant protein sources through bioconversion processes.
