RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Experience in microbiology and molecular biology applied to the study and characterization of agricultural, food, bioenergy and biomaterials producing microorganisms using the following methods:

  • Isolation, purification, cultivation and conservation of bacterial, yeast and mould strains;
  • Phenotypic characterization of microorganisms;
  • Biotechnological characterization of microorganisms;
  • Isolation e purification of microorganism-chromosomal DNA;
  • Characterization of chromosomal DNA using: PCR, RFLP, RAPD.
  • Study and optimization of parameters (Temperature, nutrients, pH, agitation, crio-protectors, time of process) in microbial strains production process.
  • Study and optimization of parameters (Temperature, Enzyme concentration, pH, agitation, raw material loading) in the process for Succinic acid production.
  • Evaluation of microbial dynamics and diversity by using PCR-DGGE approach
  • Quantitative analysis of reaction products by using HPLC.
  • Targeting bacterial with plasmid conjugation to monitoring root colonization of endophytic Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria.
